Cool Polymers relocates to expanded facility

Cool Polymers Inc., a manufacturer of special engineered polymers and metal alloys, has announced the relocation of its headquarters and expansion of its production facilities to North Kingstown. The move from the company's former Warwick location is effective Aug. 2.
Privately-held Cool Polymers experienced a record year in 2009 and has seen 30 percent growth during the first half of 2010, the company said in a released statement. The move is based on that growth, increasing customer demands for additional capacity, and a need to provide the growing customer base with facilities for training and product demonstrations. The firm is confident that it is uniquely positioned as a supplier of materials serving growing markets including LED lighting, medical, connectors and electronics.
Cool Polymer will lease the new 40,000-square-foot facilities located at 51 Circuit Drive in the Quonset Business Park on Narragansett Bay. The building will include the company's headquarters, research and development and production facilities.
"With the expansion at the new site, Cool Polymers will be able to better serve both our domestic and international customers," said General Manager Kevin McCullough. "The move is in response to our need to rapidly expand the manufacturing capacity for both CoolPoly and Xyloy products. The facility will also include dedicated space for Xyloy (an injection moldable metal alloy) molding demonstrations and molder training."
Cool Polymers is the originator and leading producer of thermally conductive plastics and injection moldable metal alloys.
