Quonset’s award-winning wastewater management team earned the bronze medal recently at the Water Environment Federation’s annual competition in Chicago (above). Led by Plant Manager, Eddie Davies and Industrial Pretreatment Inspector, David Bruno, Team “Rising Sludge” showcased their skills in process control and laboratory analysis while competing with teams from around the world. The event allowed team members to improve the wastewater skills they put to work every day for the companies at Quonset Business Park.

The team’s third-place finish qualifies them to move up to Division 1, a first-time achievement for Rhode Island in the competition’s 36-year history. Congratulations to Team Rising Sludge!
