World Class Infrastructure
The Quonset Business Park has the infrastructure your business needs to succeed.
With a water and wastewater system owned and operated by QDC, the Park offers 34kV and 12kV primary electrical feeders running through the Park, and a unified stormwater management system. Business of all size will find that the utilities they need are here at the Park.
Utility Availability
Quonset Business Park water system is entirely owned and operated by the Quonset Development Corporation, offering streamline permitting and the highest quality service. The Park’s water system is separate from the Town of North Kingstown’s water system.
QDC operates three wells with a total pumping capacity of 4.6 million gallons per day. There are two storage tanks have a capacity of one million gallons. On average, the system pumps 0.6 MGD.
The Quonset Wastewater Collection System and Treatment Facility is owned and operated by the Quonset Development Corporation. In accordance with State and Federal laws, the Facility also operates an Industrial Pretreatment Program.
Use of the wastewater service requires the completion of an Industrial Wastewater Questionnaire. Any industry identified as a “Significant Industrial User” as defined under Section 4.16 of the Quonset Development Package must also submit a Wastewater Treatment Permit Application.
Electric service at Quonset Business Park is supplied by Rhode Island Energy with 115 kilovolt (kV) transmission lines. The entire complex has both 34 kV and 12 kV primary feeders running through the Park. Both three-phase and single-phase voltages are available.

Public gas service at Quonset Business Park is supplied by Rhode Island Energy. Service is not available in North Davisville and at the Port of Davisville Waterfront.

Quonset Business Park is fully equipped and ready to serve high-technology industries with three fiber optic systems provided by: Cox Communications, Verizon Communications, and Crown Castle Fiber.
These vendors can provide dedicated networking, digital video, high-speed internet connections, and VoIP communication to customers.
The Quonset Development Corporation manages and maintains Quonset Business Park’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4). All new development within the Park must comply with QDC’s management regulations as outlined in the Development Package.

Utility Forms
Service Requests
Service Requests are for temporary hydrant hookups, activations, shutdowns, trouble calls, or repairs associated with water and sewer lines from the building to the main.
Industrial Wastewater
The Industrial Wastewater Questionnaire is used for all new development connecting to the Park's sewer and is used to determine if a permit is necessary.
Rates and Billing
The Quonset Development Corporation's utility rates have been set for the calendar years 2020-2024. Please use the forms below to initiate or change billing information.
Road and Curb Cuts
For all road cuts, curb cuts, or roadway excavation in the Business Park, a permit is necessary. Use the Road Excavation Permit form to request a permit.
Adopt-a-Roadway Program
Any local community organization or local business can be a part of the Quonset Business Park. The Adopt-a-Roadway program allows for the adoption of up to 2 miles of road or public access area for a year.
