The Quonset Development Corporation (QDC) and Rhode Island Energy have signed a new three-year agreement, continuing the energy efficiency partnership begun in 2020.
Building on the success to date, this partnership provides access to technical assistance and incentives to implement energy-savings projects. The goal is to help all Quonset companies, as well as sites working with QDC and the RI Ready Program, participate in RI Energy customer programs.
Since 2020, Quonset businesses have:
  • Received over $4 million in incentives for completed energy efficiency improvements
  • Saved over $3 million annually on their energy bills
  • Saved over 17 million kWh of electricity
  • Saved more than 300,000 gas therms
  • Reduced Green House Gas emissions , equivalent to removing 2,600 gas powered vehicles for one year
All Quonset businesses are invited to participate and request a no-cost energy assessment by reaching out to RI Energy’s Andrea Moshier. Learn more about RI Energy’s energy efficiency programs for businesses here.
