Seaview Railroad broke its annual record for rail car volume at Quonset Business Park by moving 7,513 rail cars in 2023. Seaview hauls a variety of raw materials and finished products to and from Quonset businesses before connecting to railroads throughout the region.

A legacy of Quonset’s origins as a U.S. Navy base, Seaview operates on 14 miles of track throughout the Business Park, providing rail transportation that is convenient, affordable and environmentally friendly. Last year, Seaview’s rail cars kept 30,000 trucks off highways and roads.

“We are proud to serve as part of the logistics chain for Quonset companies,” said Eric Moffett, President of Seaview Railroad. “This record-breaking growth has allowed us to add jobs to our company while supporting local businesses that are also expanding and creating new jobs. It’s an exciting milestone for everyone.”
