Safety is Paramount at the Port of Davisville

IMG

At the Port of Davisville, safety is our top priority. Quonset recently worked with the U.S. Coast Guard, Siem Shipping, state agencies and the North Kingstown Fire Department to participate in a full-scale emergency preparedness response exercise, responding to a fictionalized scenario at the Port of Davisville involving a broad-spectrum of cargoes, including internal combustion engine automobiles and EVs.

The first of its kind, this multi-day exercise encouraged QDC staff to practice asset and resource identification, multiagency collaboration, communication to key stakeholders and more. These preparedness operations create an even safer maritime environment for ship crews, local first responders, port staff and the public.
