It was a busy summer at Quonset Business Park, with the QDC team celebrating several milestones, including the opening of the first new pier at the Port of Davisville in 70 years.
The new Terminal 5 Pier and Blue Economy Support Docks will serve as a gateway to Narragansett Bay for small and growing maritime businesses, supporting product testing, R&D and more. Terminal 5 also expands the port’s capacity to receive automobiles, submarine components and other cargo.
This world-class infrastructure will help meet rising demand for accessible waterfront access. With specialized berthing space, companies like REGENT Craft and Anduril Industries now have the resources to grow and innovate right here in Rhode Island. We’re proud of what this investment means for our state, but REGENT Craft’s CEO Billy Thalheimer puts it best—see what he has to say below.
None of this would be possible without the support we receive at every level of government. Thank you to our federal delegation for bringing these dollars to Rhode Island, and to Governor McKee and the Rhode Island General Assembly for allocating them to QDC and helping us make this critical investment in the port.
