Quonset celebrates wastewater achievement award

NEWEA Conference Awards

Quonset Wastewater Treatment Facility’s (WWTF) new superintendent, David Bruno, has been named New England Water Environment Association’s (NEWEA) Operator of the Year! This award is given to an individual who demonstrates consistently high performance and has made significant contributions to the wastewater field.

Under David’s leadership, Quonset WWTF treats an average of 800,000 gallons of wastewater per day, serving approximately 14,000 commercial and industrial customers, as well as the Town of North Kingstown. Quonset’s wastewater treatment efforts are critical to protecting our ocean and local watersheds, including Narragansett Bay. This award is well-deserved – congratulations to David Bruno!
